Re: The wall
There's still an awful lot of simmering resentment about the move and stadium that has been masked by two great seasons. But it's bubbling under the surface and, make no mistake, a poor run of form and the discontent will find its way to the surface again.

it's a shithole, the only good idea is demolishing it

Re: The wall
Yet another laughable piss take from the great GSB trio.

That ground is a total abomination yet you all keep flocking back in your thousands.

Yes I love West Ham United (or is it London these days) with a passion but I stand by my morals.

All the time people keep lining their pockets, the more it will continue.

£7 a pint as well. Why anyone spends money on food, drink & merchandise when they go over that absolute shit pit is beyond me.

The owners literally don't give a fuck about a single one if you & why should their attitude change when they are getting funded by you all to do so.

Re: The wall
Other option is moving all away fans to upper tier. Should have been done when we moved there. Give them the worst seats.

I think there is a Premier league rule that says any new stadium must have visiting fans at pitch level. Sunderland, Newcastle and other grounds that had upper tier only for visitors have exemptions.

Is this wall which l think is ridiculous down to board or stadium owners?

Re: The wall
Crossed hammers true but can be sorted.

Home fans could just exit at opposite side and not go down stairs to away fans.

Re: The wall
The reason that away fans are not all kept in the upper tier is because the upper tier shares the concourse with the lower tier, so there would be no way to segregate.

That’s why in Europe when Sevilla and Lyon both brought pitiful followings, the usual away section of the lower tier had to be left empty rather than offering it to home fans.

A fucking wall???? Well I suppose it’s an upgrade on ye olde fashioned chicken wire we had back in the 70’s and 80’s…

Yes but clubs can find a way out. Newcastle obvious one.

Pedro

There are new ish rules that say away fans sections must reach the pitchside.....or front row of seats, in our casr, which are nowhere near pitch side, of course.

This newish rule is the League chiefs recognising that away fans should not be stuck up in the gods, as it harms the atmosphere, just like this piss take wall does.

Has anyone seen 'The Night Of'? HBO mini-series, getting good reviews.

Re: The wall
Trouble is it comes down and then both sets of fans start throwing stuff then fans will be blamed and probably a bigger one will be built.

If needed better segregation then not sure why it couldn’t be plastic / clear like you get at all European grounds. At Lyon we had a goal net around us!

Re: The wall
Yeh, we’re in that bit as well (alright Stepney mate).
The 3 stooges fuckin killjoys. Was the best atmosphere last season, everyone getting bit more settled.
I’m sure HU will be on the case pronto.
Another ‘wall’ that needs taking down a peg or two.

Re: The wall
As someone said to me yesterday, if somebody lobs something over, you ain’t going to see it.

As a compromise, they could put something like a Perspex screen in its place, so home and away fans can still interact (ok throw wanker signs at each other) but that home/away interaction between fans is important. Only somebody with no idea about football wouldn’t be able to see that.

Re: The wall
I'm slap bang next to it mate and it's an absolute piss take. It's a new low from our owners and is further prove of just how much disdain they have of us fans.

Going to totally kill the atmosphere in that section and further sanitise the place.

Needs to go and hopefully HU will push for this to happen.

Re: The wall
Aren't HU meant to be dealing with stuff like this, I thought this is why they were formed for these type of issues? Get them on the firm! All those walks, cardboards and petitions don't seem to have changed much?
